1) photobucket: Had an email earlier this week from Photobucket warning me that I have less than 3GB of bandwidth left on my account. WTF? *sighs* I checked again this morning and it's now at 8.6/10GB used. How the hell does that happen. I know with the free account it resets to zero at the end of my month's cycle, but I think that at the rate it seems to be disappearing I won't make it to the end of the cycle before it exceeds the limit, so I'm probably going to have to pay to upgrade to a Pro account or have everything on [livejournal.com profile] paper_packages replaced with "Photobucket Bandwidth Exceeded" icons for a while - which sucks and I don't want that to happen. Is this purely down to people hotlinking??

{ Thanks to the lovely and amazing [livejournal.com profile] mrs_leary I now have Photobucket Pro account - thank you so much sweetie ♥ }

2) visits & trips: [livejournal.com profile] purplella and [livejournal.com profile] surfer_buoy were here Sunday night on a stopover and will be back next week sometime on their way home - it was so lovely to see them again after so long and all being well, I'll be going to spend a few days with them in Devon sometime in November =) Sadly [livejournal.com profile] dazzlebug is no longer able to come stay as she's just managed to get herself a flat after months of looking - which is of course wonderful news for her and very exciting - but I'm sad she's not coming and am hopeful she can maybe make it another time instead =)

{ And as for Expo - for various reasons (which mostly include self-confidence!fail) - I decided a couple of weeks ago that I wasn't going to go. So, yeah. Maybe next time... }

3) scan & stuff: Scan went okay - didn't find anything obvious like a cyst or anything and I have another GP follow-up appointment next Tuesday to see what happens next. Still feeling like crap a lot of the time, still having ridiculously frequent (and completely awful) periods and still having to take time off work sick when it's happening which I absolutely hate doing. I really hate this.

4) thank you: Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] el1ie for the very thoughtful card/gift she sent me last weekend - it was lovely sweetie and I hope you got my PM ♥

Thanks to to [livejournal.com profile] mrs_leary who recently pimped [livejournal.com profile] paper_packages - it's lovely to see someone doing that and always such a surprise to me - makes me smile and is extremely flattering so thank you so much hon ♥

5) catch up: I've been a bit awol the last few days so will do my best to catch up a bit now if I can but if I missed anything important, please just poke me and let me know =)

Hope you're all doing okay ♥

*hugs muchly*

Hey there, I've missed you! *hugs* I'm sorry you're still feeling crappy; sending you lots of positive, healthy thoughts, and I hope things get sorted out quickly. I know taking time off work is a pain and you feel like you should be there, but taking care of yourself always comes first.

I guess Colin and Bradley won't be at Expo this time round, so maybe that softens the blow a little?

*hugs* ♥

Aw - missed you too actually - hope you're doing okay and you know where I am if you want to poke me or whatever =)

I'm making the most of today being a good day and generally trying not to be too whiny about it all as that just gets boring, doesn't it.

They won't be there? Guess they knew I wasn't going then... =) Shame though for those people that are going in the hope of seeing them. Do you know why they're not going to be there - ooh, perhaps they're off on a little holiday together? Yep, I'm sticking with that theory as it makes me smile. A lot =)

This is my theory :)

It's a relief not to have to attend Expo this time round. It isn't that he minds the fans or the questions, but Colin's been run ragged since May, and they're still in Cardiff doing pick-ups, so he is more than glad to let the girls shuttle off to London to take on the responsibility of being professional and representing the show.

Bradley's off the hook, too, which is a happy coincidence. They'd originally planned to maybe take the train with Angel and Katie to London, and go and do things that would make them feel very culturally responsible and informed, like check out the National Maritime Museum or try to hunt down Catherine Howard's ghost at Hampton Court, but as the Expo weekend approached, neither of them had felt very much up to bettering themselves, and had agreed upon being complete layabouts instead.

When Colin calls him mid-morning on their day off to see if he wants to hang out at the hotel's indoor pool for a while, however, Bradley's not only awake, but out gallivanting on his own.

"I've just got some errands to run; I should be back before lunch, so I'll come and find you then, all right?" says Bradley, and leaves it at that. It's not curt, but it's unusual. Most of the time, when Colin gets him on the phone while he's out of doors and there's nothing of particularly high importance to talk about, he will narrate to Colin everything happening around him. It's why Colin knows how to navigate Bradley's neighbourhood in Devon despite never having visited (he will, one day), and that there's a particularly good busker at the Paddington tube station on Wednesdays (Bradley had got her to sing into the phone), and that somewhere out there is a stray dog who looks exactly like a rat (photographic evidence still pending).

So Colin goes to the pool by himself, gets in enough laps to feel reasonably accomplished and, on his way out, winks at a group of small children who keep staring at him, possibly unsure what to do with a person who looks exactly like Merlin but who can't really be him, because Merlin's off at Camelot, obviously.

He's just finished a quick shower when his mobile beeps at him; it's Bradley.

Back, says the text message.

Thirty seconds later: PS: Coconuts migrate.

Colin's brows knit together, and he looks around his room briefly like this will help him decipher the text. It's been a while since they've watched that Monty Python, so they're not exactly in one of their movie-quoting frenzies, and he's not sure whether he's being told this as a fact, or Bradley's accidentally sent him a message meant for someone else, or Bradley's maybe done himself a head injury. Finally, he sends back, Are you on drugs?

There's no reply after this, so there's clearly no choice but to go to Bradley's room and check on his mental well-being. Colin shuffles down the corridor and knocks.

"Password," Bradley demands from within.

"What?"

"Password, Colin."

Colin throws up his hands, bewildered. His phone is in one of them, and he peers at it suspiciously. "Er. Coconuts migrate?" he hazards.

The door yawns open. "No points for enthusiasm, Morgan, but I'll accept it."

Bradley's room is a mess, which isn't anything out of the ordinary, but this time it's a carefully constructed mess. There are pillows and chairs and cushions all askew, and blankets and sheets strewn over everything.

Enlightenment dawns on him only a split second before delight sets in. "You built a fort," Colin says, kind of amazed at all the trouble Bradley's gone through to surprise him, and Bradley's wide grin sparks a warm little flame in him that he has to hide with a laugh.

Between the Harry Potter book they read by torchlight, the epic debate they have over whether custard creams or chocolate digestives are better (Bradley had purchased both, specifically to start this fight) and Colin's Lego pirates making Bradley's Han Solo Lego walk the plank, Colin's pretty sure he's having the best day of his life, and the National Maritime Museum can stuff it. He's got a fort and he's got Bradley, and he's never been happier.

It really, really did.

There's something about your characterisations of these two that I absolutely adore - I know what it is, but not being as articulate as I could be I can't actually tell you! Just... keep doing it, okay? =)

I am grinning like a total idiot now! All day, all this horribly crappy Monday, I know I'm just going to have to imagine the boys in their blanket fort and things will be JUST FINE!
