Meh.

I am in quite a crappy mood this morning, so am hiding out in an office at the other end of the building so as not to maim upset anyone. I'm sure it will pass by lunchtime as I'm taking a client out for lunch and he's a great guy :) I just get so sick here of the staff moaning about some very real issues, then doing absolutely nothing about them when they get the chance. We have such an incompetent, patronising management team which everyone recognises and is vocal about ~ until it actually comes to doing something constructive. Then I generally end up carrying the can for sticking up for the staff team when, oh look, they've all disappeared and it's just me telling the management team how ludicrously crap and overpaid they are. Meh. Usually I'm not confrontational at all, but I strongly believe we have an excellent staff team and my job role here is pretty unique and as such I quite often end up as a buffer between the idiots (management team) and the staff, and that is OK, not a problem, I just don't like people who say one thing and do another. If they aren't going to facilitate change when the opportunities arise, then shut the hell up or find a different job.

Deb has just dragged me off and encouraged me to kick things and swear quite frequently,  so I feel better now :)

What I should've done today instead of coming to work was stay home, work on my vid, watch trashy TV and chat to my awesome geeky elf partner ..... it was tempting!  Maybe I will chat with her all night instead and not bother coming in here tomorrow .........

Well, since you are/were in a shit mood and I am about to reply to your email as the good friend that I am, I shall endeavour to make it funny.

Wish me luck, cos I don't feel very funny at the moment.

It's like in Epiphany when Shep's left all alone to fight the invisible thingy as everyone runs away to hide. You're a hero! :D Muppet, the elf-hero, with her geeky sidekick, Gater, who's great at Googling for Torsten pictures.

Muppet: "Omg, is that a shark? What do we do?"
Gater: "One second..." *taps on piddly phone*
Muppet: "Gater...!!!"
Gater: "It's 'connecting to server'!"
Muppet: "It's coming!"
Gater: "Take of all your jewellery and any shiny/reflective things."
Muppet: "WTF?!"
Gater: "Do it! They're attracted to it!"
Muppet: "It's still coming!"
Gater: "Jab it in the eye and gills!"
Muppet: "Raaahhhh!!!"

I'm feeling a little strange this morning. :)

Ohhh, I know what will make you feel better...

I know they're piddly and I reckon you've seen them all before, but if I start to fish out (heh, fish, shark, I'm funny) any decent ones you won't do any work! ;)

*big hugs*

*giggles*

Yeah, I've seen them before but they're three of my faves of the Grand OTP ~ the third one reminds me of Lollipop ... the bit "his kiss is sweeter than apple pie" ;)

thanks sweetie, a bit of Torsten was just what I needed :)

Ooh, and I took a picture of Radek today. He was wearing make-up though. I told him I was posting it on the internet and he kinda laughed nervously and asked what I was really doing with it. So I told him I was posting it on the internet and left his office.

*g*

*drools over the Grand OTP and decides to do no more damn work today*

*hugs her amazing elf partner*
