I promised some of you I'd try to post more, so here, have some whining about how I'm still sick and some pictures of trees. And other things:
1) sick: Yes, still. Saw my GP on Wednesday and she says I have a viral infection. Mostly this is now just confined to my chest, so lots of coughing and rattling. She also signed me off for the rest of the week due to the noise distortion problems I'm having with my right ear (my workplace is a loud place to be) and the lack of sleep it's been causing. Had an appointment with the nurse yesterday to have my ear syringed, but it didn't work, so have to go back and try again next Thursday. Joy. So yeah, still can't hear out of that ear and my chest is still rattling like a freight train. Deb (
deans_babe) came round last night and cooked me dinner, which was lovely =)
2) flist: How did you get here? Did I friend you, did we meet up somewhere else? Just curious...
3) reading: Have now read 30/50 of the
paperlegends Big Bang stories! Really must focus on reading more this weekend, and not keep going back to re-read other favourites on my Delicious bookmarks. Like I did yesterday. Right. Am opening another BB story right now...
4) forest: Deb and I took a group of service users out rambling Tuesday afternoon to Rhinefield, on one of the Tall Trees walks, so here's some random photos for you:
{ random treetops }

{ small pretty tree }

{ taken using colour accent - yellow emphasis }

{ tree behind a tree }

{ another trail on the tall trees walk }

{ more small pretty trees }

Love to you all ♥

Argh, I know the feeling about reading favourites. I've got this long fic I'm meant to be writing, but I keep on reading Sherlock fic instead. /o\
I love your trees! Especially your tree behind a tree!
I got here through Paperlegends, and I'm really glad I did :)

I really liked the tree behind a tree, so I'm glad you noticed that one =)
I'm really glad we met through the BB and I'm so glad you're here ♥

Oh I got here because we were talking about the EXPO pics when I went there this year :)

I do hope I'll get this ear thing sorted next time I go, and that this viral thing will just go away.
Thank you! I wouldn't have remembered that!

We met on Kawoosh, and ending friending each other afterwards, if I recall well! :)
Gorgeous pictures!!! <3 <3 <3

It's funny, but I did think of you when I wrote #2 and how we'd actually mentioned that recently =)

I don't remember how we met, but I'm glad I know you. :-)
Trees! I love trees, and those tall ones are amazing. We get tall trees in Michigan but not usually tall and straight like those in the 6th picture down. *stares*

If you ever make it over here, I'll take you to the Tall Trees walk =)

I haven't been around much, I've been struggling with my stupid seasonal depression that seems to hit me earlier and earlier every year.
Kawoosh! And now you can't shake me. =)
And I understand about good stories sucking up your time. I have so many Trek fics I'm writing or have started and if I'm not sidetracked by my SAD then it's other fics written by awesome writers and then a week's gone and before I know it and I've gotten nothing done. =( Actually, can't sadface over that 'cause the stories are just too good.
And those pics are lovely. I like the small pretty tree and the path. Very nice. =)

I thought it was probably via Kawoosh with you - that seems like such a long time ago now.
Well I've managed to read one more BB story since I posted this, and am about to start yet another...
Glad you liked the photos =)

I've just purchased one of those light therapy boxes that I will be picking up from the post office tomorrow afternoon. *dances* I'm really hopeful that it will help me get through the gloomy winter months.
I'm trying to make a conscious effort to be more social-at least online. So, you'll probably be seeing me around more often if all goes well with the light therapy.
*hugs*

2) You know I actually can't remember.. is that bad? Although flicking through our mutual communities.. no doubt it was probably something Merlin related... although what I can't remember.. but now I love you for all your kooky RL posts.. you endless timetables of doom and everything else that comes along with your posts!
4) I love your trees!!! They're so beautiful.. And I really like the 3rd last picture! So stunning

There were 50 BB stories? I thought I'd read all of them, but apparently not.
We met via Numb3rs but I don't remember more than that, being scatterbrained and all.

2) If I recall correctly, we met through the SG-1 fandom. You were very helpful in getting me caught up with the show when I became a fan late into the run, and I think I might have uploaded some stuff for you, but that was forever ago.
3) The trees are beautiful. You are making me want to go and take pictures while we still have some leaves on the trees. I have that color accent feature on my camera, but I have never thought to use it like that. I mostly just play with it and make pictures where the only colors accented are the cats. I am kind of a single subject photographer. :)

It's been such a long time with you and I that I think you're probably right, must've been through SG1 - so glad you're still here ♥
I only started to use the colour accent feature because my camera broke, and for a while it was the only setting where you could actually use the viewer on the camera and take pictures! I even though it was some sort of B&W setting and only found out by accident how to change the actuall colour accent!

It has been a long time. I started watching SG-1 around season 8, and I have had my journal since 2005, so I probably have been talking to you just about that whole time. I love hearing your stories and seeing your pictures. And you always have a nice word when I do finally make a post.
I thought the color accent setting was some sort of B&W as well, except that my sage green papasan was still sage green. I just couldn't figure out how to change the color. I had to read the manual for that, and that hurt my pride. I usually never have to read manuals, but this new camera is very complex. I have had text books shorter than this manual. It is supposed to be nice tomorrow. I think I will take your example and do some leaf peeping.
Have a good weekend.

I've had my journal too since 2005 and I'm pretty sure you've been here the whole time =)
I'm still not completely sure how to change the colour - I only have a vague idea now and each time I appear to do it by accident! Looking forward to seeing your photos if you manage to take some =)
Have a lovely weekend ♥

I just grabbed my camera to see if I remembered how to change the color. It was set to khaki. Blech. Here's how mine works: If you have a Canon, go to color accent and hit the DISP button. Aim at the color you want to accent, hit the left arrow until the little colored square is the color you want, then hit the function set button. At least all that worked after hitting just about every button on my camera. :) I will be sure to post some pics if they come out half decent.

Oh that's handy - it sounds very similar to what I was trying to change my colour accent setting, so I'll give it a go on mine and see if it's the same =)

We met when I was struggling getting all the links sorted for The Impala site - always getting things muddles and you were always so considerate and never once made me feel like the total idiot I was!
Gorgeous pictures - we've had some bad winds up this way over the last couple of weeks and as a result most of the leaves have now fallen. I especially like the pretty tree photo, the sunbeams just look so attractive on that one.
Hope you feel better soon - take care - *hugs*

I REMEMBER THAT NOW! I wasn't entirely sure how you and I met, though was sure it had to do with SPN, but NOW I remember all the links stuff and everything! Wow, I am SO GLAD to have met you and to still have you here ♥
Thank you - the one you mention is one I'm fairly happy with how it came out =)

2 - I think we started chatting after you read/commented on one of my fics. Then I was telling you how much I loved your icons and we just friended each other. That was quite a while ago, I believe, because I'm pretty sure you were one of my earlier Merlin friends! :)
3 - You are awesome! I've been too upset about the show to read really long, angsty fics lately, but I'm hoping to keep going. You're doing SO MUCH BETTER than me, wow! ;)
4 - Oooh, those pictures are really pretty! It still looks like fall there. We got a ton of snow the other day, so winter is finally, officially here. I LOVE looking at pictures of trees when the colours have changed. So beautiful :)
*HUGS* ♥

2) Really? I thought that was probably it but sadly, couldn't remember.
3) I'm sorry for not commenting on those posts, and I'm really sorry you feel that way. I just don't read any reviews (except aramley's as we're completely on the same wavelength about this show!) or get involved in any in-depth analysis posts as I like to just enjoy it as my sparkly gay magic show. Which it totally is. I can lend you my slash goggles if you feel you're veering off course a little? They're awesome and they make everything sparkly again ;) *hugs*
4)I'm so glad you liked them, and yes, it's nearing the end of autumn here so there's not as much colour around as there was, though it's still not really got cold yet.
*hugs muchly*

2 - Indeed it was! There's evidence around somewhere on my journal, LOL ;) Actually, I think it was after I posed "If They Hurt You", so that'd mean we've been friends for about 1 1/2 years now, whee! ;)
3 - Don't apologize. I'd avoid my posts too, LMAO! I'd love to borrow your slash goggles, because I see nothing worth watching any longer, but I admire your ability to continue to enjoy the sparkly gay magic show. I wish I could too.
4 - Autumn is one of my favourite times of the year, but the unfortunate thing is that we usually go from summer to winter so damn quickly that there's only a few weeks, max, of gorgeous colours on the trees before all the leaves are gone. It didn't really snow until a couple of days ago, but the trees have been without leaves for a good 6 weeks already, boo :P. I used to LOVE September when I was at university, because I'd sit out in the quad sometimes and just marvel at the beauty of the trees and stuff. Anyway, those pics made me happy, is my point! ;)

I adore autumn too, but it does seem to have gone quickly here - as in all the colour went by so quickly, even though it's not really cold yet. I love the cold so am looking forward to that as well!
Feel better soon sweetie ♥
*hugs muchly*
I don't want to get drawn into discussions about how anyone should/shouldn't approach their fandom - it's a totally personal thing - but if you want cheering, you should read aramley's reviews from the beginning. SPOT ON!

2) I friended you because you were such a huge Merlin fan and I was hoping to get into the series after hearing so many good things about it! And now it's one of my favourite series, with much of the credit to you :)
4) Really pretty pictures! The colours in the last one are especially gorgeous.
Hope you have a great and relaxing weekend! :)

Er, I think we met through you commenting on one or more of my fics? And then at some point you referred to yourself as an eejit and then we were friends and it's been delightful since. :)

I got a fairly decent score -- not as high as I'd hoped, but not low enough that I'd want to shell out another $160 to take it again.
