(no subject)

I'm opening up the building in the mornings at work at the moment and I'm sure I've said before how much I like doing this ~ really early mornings, still dark , cold & no-one around.  And you know I'm not joking, right?  I really do like this!  This morning I woke up at 4.30am even though I didn't have to be up till 5.30am, but it meant I've got so much done already today ~ I've been here (at work) since just after 6am and I've sorted all my emails, checked out my flist, and  done some timetable work.

Bored bored bored

I'm so bored I'm creating work to do.  And I have to be here till 5pm.  Gah, I need something interesting to do/read/whatever!

We don't get overtime pay here, so if we work over our contracted hours we get TOIL (time off in lieu).  I usually have a fair bit but it's pretty much the same at the end of each month as I do take bits of time off here and there to keep it averaging at about 30 hours.  However, my line manager called me in yesterday to tell me I'd made a mistake on a previous TOIL sheet and actually had more TOIL that I thought.  This is not unusual, it's easy to be 30 minutes or so out each month.  Apparently not though.  In just one month I'd forgotten to carry over 14 hours.  14 hours!!  From just one month! And that wasn't even the total TOIL I'd built up that month!  She's now insisting I start taking some days off.

OK...... I'm still bored  :/
