I took a walk down to my beach last night as we thought there was going to be some night flying (there wasn't) and also to see how it looked after the flooding yesterday.

This is what that part of the beach looked like after all that water that came down from Boscombe Gardens had washed through:













But today, skies are blue, sun is shining and I'm off to see some flying!

It really carved it's way through that sand, didn't it? That was the only part of the beach really affected though, and I'm sure they will have cleared that up by the time the festival kicks off today.

SO EXCITED; AM OFF TO SEE FLYING! This is me and Peter's 'holiday' so we're determined to enjoy ourselves =)

I'm working like a crazy person to get this BB finished ;) OK, I've been doing some work for work, too...

Man, I love planes. I LOVE them. I get so excited whenever I get to go on one. I don't know -- even though flying is really not glam at all, I think I saw too many old movies where it was swish and, well, jet-setting, and that's what I think of when I think of planes.

Coasts are just amazing, the way the elements do all this sculpture and everything changes in a second.

Wow, that's like, instant grand canyon you got there!! O.O

And we had a huge-ass rainstorm over here last night. Friends and I went to the park and almost got blown away by the high winds and had to hide under a bridge not to get drained by the rain XD It was so much fun.

I wish I lived closer by the sea.

Oh and, with the flooding yesterday (and I know it's not fun in any way), I couldn't stop thinking about this video:

It hasn't ceased to entertain me for three days straight and anything involving rain or water in any just makes me remember that bus. XD

It wasn't a brand new one, it was a second hand one exactly the same as the one I already had, but now it's got the whole 'lens error' things the other one had, and I think it's had it. I'm actually pretty sad about it.

A completely ridiculous amount of water - they said we had a months worth of rain here in just 30 minutes.

Ah, the joys of flooding. I've experienced flooding more times that I can count (or care to remember!) I have pictures of fish swimming across the lines on the road in front my house. Okay, actually, that one was kinda cool....

At least there are no deaths (from what I've read in the papers.) And the beach will be back to normal before long :-)

I was obviously incredible lucky in that it was temporary flooding which, I think, hasn't resulted in any injry or anyone becoming temporarily homeless.

The flying was amazing today, as was the night-time activities which we just got back from, so am off to bed to get energy for the rest of the weekend festival activities ♥
