First day of the Bournemouth Air Festival did not go well.

We had storms and torrential rain this morning. They'd predicted a crappy day and probably no air displays for the first day, but not this.

This is MY BEACH this morning (all photos from news sites; not mine):

I'm following the Air Festival Twitter to see if the dusk air display is going ahead, but they're hoping for the next three days flying displays to go ahead.

Jeez! D: I hope no one has gotten hurt etc. and that you're alright too ♥

I haven't read or seen anything yet about anyone being hurt, and me and Peter are fine - we just stayed indoors and watched the downpour =)

Wow. Quite literally a wash out. :(. How disappointing. Hope everyone I ok.

Far worse than Peter and I had actually realised, and I hope everyone is okay. It's fine right now though and supposed to be good weather for the next few days =)

Holy crap! I thought the rain in London was rather grim today...

Stay safe, love. <3

Yeah, Peter and I were pretty suprised when we saw the pictures, we hadn't realised how bad it actually was. The latest from the Twitter feed is that there will be flying tonight though! ♥

We're fine, just both really glad we didn't venture out today. Just watched a video of how ASda in Bournemouth was evacuated too because of the flooding - all the pictures are pretty scary.

Fying tonight though, looking forward to that =)

I like a good downpour when I don't have to go out in it but that seems a bit excessive... and I'm very sorry it had to come and ruin the first day of the festival, too :( I hope it will dry out and you'll get to enjoy the other days at least! *hugs*

Me too! They're just trying to clean everything up now and clear away as much as they can =)

The next three days are supposed to be lovely, so fingers crossed.

Goodness, that's a lot of rain! Hope you managed to stay dry. *hugs*

Good grief! Having recently seen these locations myself, I can appreciate just how much rain you've been subjected to... Sorry for the disappointment, but I'm glad you're OK. I'll keep my fingers crossed for the next few days proving a little drier! ♥

I took pictures of the beach this evening, which shows how bad the water was that came down from the gardens onto the beach; will post them maybe tomorrow.

The next three days are supposed to be lovely, so I'm really hoping!

It looks really bad. Keep yourself safe! Hopefully the next days will be sunnier.

Apparently the next 3 days of the festival are supposed to be warm and sunny, so here's hoping =)

Oh, wow, that's awful. Sorry about the Air Festival, but glad you're okay and unaffected!

Re: Rains.....

That bathroom repair has been leaking since it was supposedly fixed, so of course I had water coming through there yesterday. Just resigned to it as I know he'll do nothing until it's really bad again.

Skies are blue today, all looks good for flying =)

*hugs*

OMG! Unbelievable! That's a super crazy downpour!

Texas is in a severe drought at the mo (projected to last through the end of the year), so I wish we could have taken your rain for you. You could have had a lovely first day of the Air Show and our grass might have survived.

I'm just glad that you and Peter were out of the rain and safe inside when the flooding happened.
