1) work: Am back at work today and am pretty tired and sore still. Work have offered me half-days if my GP says it's okay, but I'd rather try and be here full-time if I can, so am trying to limit the painkillers I'm taking so I'm not so tired. Crazy busy day today so probably a good job I'm back!

2) icons: Have actually gotten off my lazy ass and have started making an icon batch which is about halfway done now. Will do my best to get it finished by the end of the week and just try and get back into it properly after that, as I've missed it.

3) paper legends: Much as I've wanted to just make icons and generally rest the last few days, I've instead been very busy with paperlegends stuff, which is just the way that goes sometimes. I've booked this Friday off work to sort out the check-in post that will be happening, and at some point I ought to sit down and work out how many A/L days that community has taken from me this year, as opposed to last year. I do love the place and I get a lot of enjoyment from running it, but there are times (very rare, but they happen nonetheless) when I get really cross about certain things, and this weekend was one of those times. Oh well, again, that's just how it goes.

4) movies: Peter and I saw Kung Fu Panda 2 on Friday, which was okay but not as funny as the first one, and X-Men: First Class on Saturday, which was fantastic! Peter told me I had to behave myself in the cinema and that if I really felt I had to slash them, could I please do it in my head whilst watching the film and not out loud. Which I did =)

Cutting back your painkillers so you're not crazy tired is one thing, but being in pain is NOT ok. You take them if you need to and you take a half day if you need to - surgery just ain't fun.

I'm so pleased you're been feeling up to making your icons - I'm sure being creative is satisfying on so many levels - good luck getting them finished.

Communities can be damned time consuming in the most frustrating ways and that sucks the fun out of it.

I know, and it was throbbing quite a bit by the time I got home, but honestly, I was SO TIRED anyway that I'm sure if I'd taken anything, I would have fallen over!

I had it two and a half weeks ago and went back to work today; posted about it previously. It's... okay. Sore, swollen.

I've taken a fair few days A/L for this already, as I did last year; want to make sure things run smoothly =)

I had the external stitches out a week ago and will have the internal splints and stitches removed in a week or two, so hopefully will be less painful then =)

It is really close to impossible NOT to slash Charles and Erik and any right minded fangirl would be crazy not to. My best friend and I have been searching like mad for Charles/Erik fics to surface (I don't mean small ficlets but LONG ones....but they will come eventually) and man I wish I already had the DVD because I want to vid them like mad!

Nah I was a Psylocke/Angel and Rogue/Gambit girl though I also thought that Rogue/Magneto from Age of Apocalypse was hot but then again I was just a teen and years away from turning into a slasher =)

It's so good of you to put so much into Paperlegends. I don't think people have much of an idea how much hard work it is to make things like Big Bangs work unless they've done it themselves. *hugs*

I'm sorry Paperlegends has been a pest for you; I hope it's getting better. I spent the weekend off in the country and writing something totally not BB related; I need to really rip into writing my fic now ready for the draft submission!

I have 40K and I know what else I need. I just need to sit and write (I was writing Arthur/Percival, because something about driving for 5 hours made me think of the things I needed to finish for it.)

I had a fantastic weekend -- I went to a friend's birthday out in a goldrush town that's basically a ghost town now (and we went on a ghost tour!) and while I was some way away from civilisation (and the internet), it was so beautiful and the history so interesting I barely noticed :D

I'm thinking the movie will be my reward for cleaning up this weekend prior to a rental inspection. Yes.

I saw a paper_packages post come up on my flist and I was very excited. Will be checking out all the goods :)

Haven't seen X-Men: First Class yet but I'd like to. Especially since you speak of this thing called slash ;) I cannot believe that I haven't even been to the theater once this year. Not once. Not even for the new Pirates movie. But I for sure will have to see Harry Potter on the big screen.
