1) hospital: Had my pre-surgical assessment at the hospital on Monday which was okay, though I still don't have a date for the actual surgery. The woman I spoke to today in the surgical booking office said they've had a lot of emergencies recently and my surgery might not happen now until December/January. I'm obviously very disappointed at this, but as I've waited literally years and years for them to do this full reconstructive surgery - as opposed to the regular shoring up (which is how I think of it) surgeries they've done over the years in the meantime - then I suppose I can wait just a couple more months.
2) freezer: Got home from the hospital Monday evening to find that my freezer door hadn't closed properly on Sunday and literally everything was ruined and had to be thrown out. Really didn't need that right now.
3) bathroom: Haven't had any more leaking in the bathroom since Sunday, but that's probably only because it hasn't really rained since then. Am now using pillowcases there to cover up the hole, and they're proving to be effectively absorbent. I'm nothing if not
4) beach: Deb and I took a couple of service users out for lunch at Urban Reef this afternoon, which is a lovely place right down on the edge of my beach. After, we walked along the shore for a while, so here's some more random beach photo's for those of you who are interested:

2 - Boo-urns. That SUCKS. So sorry to hear about the freezer :P
3 - You live in a flat, don't you? Why isn't your landlord fixing your bathroom? Isn't that his/her job? (And forgive me... you probably answered this a LOOOOONG time ago, but I can't remember that far back, LOL!) Still... I'm glad to hear that at least it hasn't leaked any more than before :)

The freeholder of the building should be fixig it, yes, but 1) I need to try and pay this years maintenance bill before I even ask him and 2) even when I've done that he's notoriously crap at getting anything done, so it'll still be weeks and maybe months of me chasing and hassling him.

I wish you all the best for your surgery and I hope, you'll get it soon. Sorry about your bathroom business. but at least it's only the bathroom right? my uncle had water damages and it ruined his whole flat. :( so sorry about your freezer.
mine died last year, so we had to buy a new one, which really sucked.

3. Eeep. Could you not somehow get the SES or someone to shore it up from the roof with some plastic sheeting or somthing? Water coming in doesn't sound all that healthy. *Hugs* You are resourceful though.
