1) sick & grouchy: I've been feeling pretty crappy for the last week or so (horrible period) plus just constant pain and headaches and lack of sleep and way, way too many tablets just to try and keep going - so basically I feel like pants today and am back to hiding out in a hoodie and baseball cap and hoping people at work will just leave me the hell alone. Which they are, mostly. But I really don't like feeling like this - when it drags on and on I end up feeling bleh and I just don't like that, so am hoping it all just goes the hell away really soon. Plus there's lots of stuff going on with my youngest brother... but I really ought to put that on the whiny filter and shut up now.

Okay - whine over =)

2) vid the grid: The lovely starrylizard has launched a new community called vid_the_grid: it's based on the numerous fic prompt table communities that you can find all over LJ. But why should authors have all the fun? In this community, the idea is to extend the fun to vidders too. Here's the guidelines and faq and just go check it out - she's done loads of work in putting it all together and it should be great =)

3) merlin fic recs:

(I recced this ages ago when I first read it, but I re-read it last week and as it's one of my all-time favourites I'm reccing it again - it's just wonderful and won't take you that long to read and honestly, it'll be time well spent - so go read if you haven't already.)

4) birthdays: I seem to miss quite a few people's birthdays and often with a few of you I'll want to send a card or whatever, but even with LJ notifications I'm not left with enough time - so if you want to tell me when your birthday is, that'd be great =)

They just seem to be getting worse and worse lately and I frickin hate it =(

And I need to say this: I feel like pants today --> Had I not recently read everything on that British slang website, I wouldn't know what you meant by "pants"...

Y'know, after I wrote that and re-read it I thought of you and smiled to myself, wondering if you'd know what I meant! I've serioulsy been considering posting an all-slang entry just to confuse the hell out of you! =D

I used to send out cards and bits quite a lot - not so much this year as I've had a really difficult year financially - but if/when I do start doing that again, I'd love to be able to send something to you, so would you be willing to add your details here? It's flist-locked and screened so no-one can see it but me =)

I spent all evening reading Merlin fic which is something I haven't done in a long, long time - spent hours just losing myself in it and it did really help =)

That sucks that they've been getting worse. Aren't things usually supposed to stay the same, or even get better as you age? Maybe I'm just delusional ;). I have to dope myself up all day or I'm completely incapacitated, heh ;)

LMAO! Bring it!! ;D I've learned lots recently...I think I could do it ;D. Of course, everyone else on your f-list might think you're totally insane...but as long as you're amusing me, isn't that all that matters?....*chuckles* ;D

Aw, well you don't have to worry about sending me anything. Especially since I'm overseas and all. I'm not going to give the details now, because I need to go eat my breakfast...but later I shall :)

I spent way too much time reading Merlin fic yesterday instead of writing it! I need to get my butt in gear. Only 4 more days....;)

Yeah, they shouldn't be this bad, but I'm recording it all before going to the GP.

I think most of my flist would be used to a lot of my slang by now so probably wouldn't be too confused - I'll have to have a think about it and see what I can come up with =)

Most of the stuff/cards I send are overseas so that isn't a problem at all - if you would like to add, you're really more than welcome =)

I may go home and just read again tonight - it was so, so lovely to be able to do that last night, I really enjoyed it =)

That's a good plan - to keep track of things. I've heard that birth control can sometimes help with the cramps and stuff. Maybe this is TMI, but if you're not taking it, that might help. I, myself, don't take any - 'cause, well, no need. But yeah. Perhaps something to consider from someone who has pretty much NO medical knowledge (beyond what I need to know for my job, of course ;)).

I'm going to brush up on my slang in preparation! In case you decide to go ahead with that post, ROFL! I'm going to understand it!! I swear I will *chuckles* ;)

I'd love to read fanfic tonight, but I need to work on beta-ing a fic for someone. She's already sent me chapter 3 and I'm not even close to being done chapter 2 yet! Eep!! (On the plus side, when I get bored of beta-ing, I switch over and write some of my own fanfic, so it works nicely :))

I was on the pill but I'm not now - I guess it's an option but I'll be going back to see my GP soon anyway once I've kept a bit more of a record of how crappy these are getting, as they always tell you to keep a record before they do anything.

Have had a killer headache the last few days which just sucks but which is probably just a leftover thing from last week, but once I'm feeling more human I'll have a proper think about using more slang in my posts =)
