Because it's been a week since my last proper update - and because I promised several people a normal post of some sort this week even though I've pretty much had a hellish week - here you go...

* My brother Andrew finally has a physio appointment for December 2nd. It seems incredible to me that you can get stabbed and then have to wait three frickin months for follow-up treatment.

* Also on the subject of hospitals, deans_babe and I realised this afternoon that it's a year ago today that I was in hospital having my latest nose operation. We were laughing at how I remember coming round from the anaesthetic and seeing a very cute young man (nurse I guess) sat next to my bed, at whom I grinned like and idiot and said 'he-llo' in a mightily attractive and slurry way =) Oh, and one year on I'm still waiting for my 3-month check - awesome huh? Am so not surprised though considering how many times they've done - and screwed up - that particular operation.

* Had aruna7 come to stay last weekend and it was wonderful to finally meet her - she's so damn lovely and I hope she can make it back again during her time in the UK. As well as perving at some surfer boys down by my pier, she got to see a very attractive one undressing on the side of the road, so I think her trip was complete =)

* My shitty week involved very, very stupid people at work who quite frankly need a damn good slap, plus the fact that I've not only buried myself in RL work this week but also in site (Kawoosh!/Impala) and comms work too - so I apologise for all the pimpery and announcements you've likely seen from me all over the place, but you should know by now what a pimping whore I can be at times.

* Tomorrow is Halloween - my favourite holiday of the year - and this is reason enough to help me get through the last day of the week =) Happy Halloween all - hope you enjoy yourselves =)

* Who wants mail? Seriously - do you? Comment here and you shall receive - might be a postcard, might be an actual card, might be a mini package of glee - pot luck what you get really but you shall get something =)

I'm glad that Andrew finally has his physio appointment! Will it be an initial assessment of the damage and deciding the best way to move forward, or is he going to be starting treatment there and then?

I don't understand about your nose operation :S but I'm very, very glad you're okay :)

I'm glad to - he actually smiled when he told me, which isn't something he does often *lol* I'm not sure what happens at the first appointment but I'lve told him I'll take him if he needs/wants me to.

The very short version of my nose op stuff is here. They operate on it every few years and screw it up every damn time. Frickin idiots. And I hate my nose. Nuh.

Well they're pretty worn down from my cutting snark this week so chances are they wouldn't notice the pins, so you go right ahead!

Oh I UNDERSTAND about nose surgery. I had one because someone broke my nose with is head (the goddamned kluntz *lol*) while we were playing handball, and my nose has never really recovered since then.
I barely breath with it anymore, thanks to allergy too, so I guess I probably have one more operation in my future...
So, complete understandment and a lot of wishes go to you, my friend.
I hope your brother gets back in former shape soon...

I got hit by a car as a kid, was pretyt messed up, and they do this damn operation every few years trying to fix it and screw it up every time. I'd hoped this would be the last one, but now I don't know. Idiots.

I hope Andrew will be okay now - at least he has something positive to look forward to and that's a good thing. persoanlly - and i know this sounds weird - I'm looking forward to the court dates. I want to see the bastard who did this to him (and his friend) sent to prison for as long as possible.

Oh my, that sucks! I'm very sorry. I heard that rinoplastics in general are never that simple and usually take at least two operations to be perfect. I hope this one you have to do will be the last one! It's such a painful operation...Good luck.

I don't think that's weird. If that was by brother he stabbed I'd want to see him burn in hell personally. So you ar enot weird at all. In my personal little special world I like to think that eye for an eye and tooth for a tooth should be applied even today for some cases. I bet that would teach some good lessons a little jail never will.

Each time they do it, it goes just a little bit more wrong. Meh. This time at least wasn't as disastrous at the time as the others were - they ridiculously unsuccessful as well as being a right old mess. Still, fingers crossed that I won't need any more =)

I don't really like feeling this angry towards this person, I don't really do these kind of feelings well. But I want to see him charged appropriately and sentenced appropriately - I think he's an animal for what he did and he needs to be put away. So I WILL be there at the court dates, so I can see it for myself.

That's beyond ridiculous, that they make Andrew wait so long. Although it's pretty much the same here. 2-3months is a usual wait for a visit at specialist. This always makes me so damn angry, considering how much money they take from my monthly pay, for so called public heathcare.
But it's a good thing that at least there is a date set up for Andrew.

Stupid people at work? I'm starting to suspect they hire them on purpose. No idea what purpose yet, but there's just too many of them for it to be a coincidence *is disgusted*

It is crap how he's waited so long - I mean, if it was a routine referral I maybe wouldn't be so pissed about it, but he was stabbed ffs, he shouldn't have to wait this long. *sighs* Still, at least it's finally happening and he now has something positive to focus on.

I'm not sure if the stupid people are doubly idiotic this week or if my tolerance threshold is so much lower - maybe a bit of both =)

Yeah, free healthcare is definitely a plus, I just wish they'd been a bit quicker taking care of him. Still, he has an appointment now so it's a start =)

I used to decorate the whole flat every year - take my borthers trick-or-treating when they were younger - I think last year is the first year I didn't decorate the flat or celebrate it as I was in hospital - bleeding pretty damn well so I'm sure I looked ghoulish! *lol* And you've seen pictures of me so I wouldn't need to hide my face! Unless of course you found the real thing too frightening! =P

My operation was a year ago today - and I agree and hope they get locked up for a long time too.

Halloween is the best holiday of the year - I totally love it! When my flat is totally decked out it looks awesome! Shame your friends won't celebrate it though, that does suck =(

Well I just fell asleep on my bed for half an hour which has left me feeling groggy and useless - how is it some people can nap during the day and I can't, huh? So not fair.

Still, gonna forget everything i was going to do tonight and just curl up on the couch with Sam Winchester instead =)
