1) lj: Finally! Saw this post this morning and I'm so glad they've finally gotten rid of that small, ugly font they were using in HTML editor. I still prefer the one they had before the small ugly one, but at least this one is an improvement on the last one in terms or writing and editing posts. It's a little annoying though that only default userpics appear on friends pages even if a different icon was used in the journal itself. (For example, I've used my pink mug icon for this post, though my default userpic is showing up as the icon used on my friends page.) I'm hoping this is a temporary bug that's quickly fixed.

2) good wife: Been marathoning The Good Wife lately and really enjoying it. How is Josh Charles still as lovely as he was when he was in Dead Poets Society?

3) halloween: Halloween on Monday and I love that holiday - when my brothers were younger I would decorate the flat and take them trick-or-treating every year; we always made their costumes and they were always amazing. No trick-or-treating any more, but me, Peter and my nephew Josh will be pumpkin carving on Saturday and watching scary movies (of the tame variety if Peter gets his way) this weekend. Best pumpkin I ever did (in my opinion) is one year when Peter asked for one that looked like the troll from Lord of the Rings; I really liked how that one turned out. I'll probably let them choose a pumpkin design from the ones I did a couple of years back, if I'm not feeling that creative on the day:

4) dream: Had a Supernatural related dream last night where I was the sister of the Winchester brothers. (Sister? Really, brain?) It started off with me and Sam out hunting together, but got so scary that I actually woke myself up. Still went back into the same dream when I went to sleep, though this time Dean was with us and he really didn't like having me around for some reason (which was sad, obviously) and wanted to be off hunting with just his brother.

5) bill bryson: Thanks to something [livejournal.com profile] nahara posted a couple of weeks ago, I've been re-reading all my Bill Bryson books. He's the only person I've ever read who can actually make me laugh until I cry. If you've never read any of his books, then you really, really should.

6) peter: Peter only gets 3 hours a week support worker time, which is really nothing at all and nowhere near what would be of benefit to him. However, his social worker has just gone to panel to try and get him 2 more hours a week and I just heard today that the funding for that has been agreed, so I'm really happy =)

Hope you're all doing okay; have a great week ♥
