1) paper legends: The artist/writer match-ups is finally done and I'm so pleased that every writer who submitted a summary got an artist to work with them, and so tired having seen very little of my bed in the last 2 days! Next up will be some stuff about beta matching and possible artist matching for category #2 writers which I've been working on, so look out for that.

2) work: A guy at work last week made me cry and now I'm avoiding him and also not letting him in my office. Both these things clearly prove that I am in fact a 12 YEAR OLD GIRL.

3) mannschaft: I really miss watching the German football team play, as I adore those dorky boys. If I lived in Germany I might be able to watch random international games they play, but as I don't I now have to wait another two years to see them play in the European Championships. IT'S TOO LONG, DAMMIT. Maybe I need to sit and watch my Die Highlights DVD which I bought after the '06 World Cup. (Yes, I love them that much). Also, ITV which aired the 3rd place play-off match here in the UK cut transmission as soon as the final whistle blew so I didn't even get to see them celebrating and being adorkable and getting their medals. I managed to track down a 2-minute clip of them collecting their medals, but I really wanted to see the celebrations, too.

4) doctor who: I think I've earnt an evening off after all the work malarkey the last couple of weeks and the hours I've put in also for [livejournal.com profile] paperlegends so I'm going to curl up on the couch now and start rewatching Doctor Who.

Boring post is boring. Hope you're all okay ♥

That sounds exciting and like you had a tough time organising all that. Well done, sweetie! :)

Guy @ work = asshole for making you cry! :( You're not a 12 year old girl but a human being that's been hurt. I can totally understand why you avoid him! ♥

OUR BOYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYS!!!! :D They're so cute and I miss them, too! ♥ Their next match is on August 11th - a friendly match against Danmark! :D Just let me know if you're interested in any of their matches (English commentary) and I'll see what I can do! ♥ BTW, Philip Lahm got married today - very cute pics of him and his wife! :D

Have a lot of fun with Doctor Who - THE DOCTOR ROCKS! \0/

Philip Lahm is one of my favourites and completely adorable; I saw some pics of his wedding over at [livejournal.com profile] manndecker and they're beautiful =)

I want to try and find somewhere that streams the matches. I don't like watching pre-recorded sporting stuff as it takes all the excitement out if it for me; although I don't know what has happened, the result has still been decided and therefore it kind of lessens the impact for me; does that make sense? So if you find somewhere like that, let me know!

If your icon also included Lahm and Neuer it would complete my favourites line-up! Have you seen the DVD I mentioned above?

From: [identity profile] gealach-ros.livejournal.com

Mhmmm, I'm sorry but I don't know anything about streaming sites. Maybe there's more information about that at one of the football communities?
And of course that makes sense. Once you know the result the match isn't all that interesting any longer. I don't think I ever watched a recorded sports event. :P

*splits comment in two to use two different icons*

I'll need to do some searching I suppose. I remember getting ridiculously excited when I found a site that (for a £3 fee) let me watch a Werder Bremen Vs Chelseas match!

From: [identity profile] gealach-ros.livejournal.com

No, I don't know the DVD. I enjoyed the WC 2006 immensely (just because it was here in Germany and everyone was so excited) but didn't catch up with it afterwards. But I'm sure it's a great DVD! :D

From: [identity profile] the-muppet.livejournal.com

I'll see if my upload links are still working as I'm sure you'd enjoy it - can't offer to re-rip it if they're not though as I lost EVERYTHING when my old computer died, including my ripping software, sadly.

Thanks for the mix of icons ♥

2 - Do, it doesn't. What is proves is that you are exercising your right to control who you interact with; he clearly lost his right, which is a natural consequence of whatever he did. It is a mature response to protect yourself in such a way. The 12-year-old response would be to start hitting him and calling him a "stupid-head" (however, imagining doing such may be therapeutic, and doesn't make you less mature! Go for it!)

I love this explanation here; will be showing Deb when she gets into work later =)

From: [identity profile] vita-candeo.livejournal.com

I'm glad you liked it, and I hope it helped too! (also, just noticed the typo. The "do" at the beginning should be "no", opps!)

From: [identity profile] padfootie.livejournal.com

Random national matches aren't as much fun as the WC though. ;)

From: [identity profile] padfootie.livejournal.com

Also, what an asshole at work who made you cry! *hugs* if someone's a 12-year-old than it's him!

From: [identity profile] the-muppet.livejournal.com

True, but a little fix is better than no fix at all =)

Any joy with that video yet as I'm desperate to watch it again and relive the 06 glory or do you just want me to shut up about it now? =)

From: [identity profile] the-muppet.livejournal.com

Aw, that is such a shame about the video; it's honestly the best Mannschaft video I'd ever seen =(

From: [identity profile] nicole9514.livejournal.com

people that make other people cry suck! you are not a 12 year old girl, i wouldn't want to be around him anymore either.

have fun rewatching dr who :)

*HUGS*

Work sucks.

Awwwwww the footie boys!! I remember going to the Bayern München training after the WC 2006 almost every Sunday back then *g* I was so obsessed!!! I got that DVD as well ;)

Have a lovely evening, dear! <3

From: [identity profile] the-muppet.livejournal.com

I USED TO HAVE THAT ICON!

I really must rewatch that DVD soon. Actually, I'm always looking for ways to punish my little brother and Thursday night is sisters night, where I get to choose what movie we watch, so maybe he'll be in for a treat later ;)

Though one week he'd really annoyed me so I tried to make him watch The Sound of Music; within minutes of the film starting he'd got up to phone my friend Deb to protest at my inhumane treatment of him. maybe' I'd better not push my luck then ;)

From: [identity profile] aramley.livejournal.com

GRRR to the guy who made you cry! I don't blame you for wanting to avoid him. What an arse.

mannschaft <- I will never get over this, and that makes me a twelve year old girl XD

*hugs*

From: [identity profile] the-muppet.livejournal.com

Always makes me smirk too; we're clearly both 12-year old girls.

Any chance of enticing you to come see the Air Festival this year? Remember how I badger my flist every year to come see it?!

*hugs*

From: [identity profile] aramley.livejournal.com

How can anybody not smirk when they hear the word Mannschaft, really? XD

I'm sorry, I don't think I can, I'm pretty sure it's my dad's 50th birthday party that weekend :(

*hugs*

Re-watching Doctor Who is an excellent idea and a well-deserved break for you.

*kicks stupid guy at the office*

I'm loving rewatching the episodes as I adore Eleven =)

♥ muchly

1) You're doing such a good job! And just imagine all the fic that will come of it. :)

2) What a jerk. I would be avoiding him too.

3) I was so glad when Germany got 3rd. When I had to stop watching the game, they were down 1 point and I was worried. Way to pull through, guys!

4) I WAS NOT EXPECTING THIS! = best line ever

*hugs*

From: [identity profile] the-muppet.livejournal.com

1) I know, I know, but at the moment it's consuming my life and hampering any time or desire to even read ANY fic.

2) I'll forgive him soon, he's clearly sorry. But he can wait awhile.

3) I LOVE THEM! Seriously, I do.

4) Oh Eleven, how I adore you ♥

*hugs hard*

If I knew you were so obsessed with the German guys, I would have recorded after-match silliness. We had full coverage here ;)

And I really hope you feel better now. This jerk that made you cry totally deserves being cut off. And such reaction doesn't make you 12 year old. *hugs*

You don't remember what I was like last WC? =) I'm pretty gutted I missed it actually.
