The Timetable of Doom. Again. Oh joy.

It's that time again. When I work on the Timetable of Doom and generally unravel slowly whilst doing it. This new edition I'm working on is the September one which basically is the main one that runs for most of the year, only needing tweaking when people leave. Which of course they do regularly.

It generally goes like this: I gather shedloads of information from all the staff about what they want on the timetable and what their keyclients want, and then armed with all this I make a start, all full of bounce and ideas and positivity. That generally wears off after about a week and I'm then at the McKay-bitch stage where everyone is a frickin idiot and people hide from me and I declare (mostly to the walls cos everyone else has run away) that IT. CANNOT. BE. DONE. It's at this point that I stomp around kicking things, tear up everything I've done so far, and sit there in defeat whilst my brain drips out of my ears.

Then I take a deep breath, start again, and pull a McKay... why yes, it can actually be done, and by God it's actually brilliant after all and thank you yes, I am indeed made of awesome =)

*sighs*

This time round I have broken my own meltdown record - I'm a day and a half in and I can already feel the trickling of my melting brain and have walked around muttering all morning that it cannot be done. To anything anyone says to me - whether it's 'good morning' or 'have you seen so-and-so?' or 'did you mean to kick a hole in that wall?' That's my stock answer right now. IT. CANNOT. BE. DONE. And looking for something high to jump off. Which is pointless in a one-storey building.

*headdesk*

Also - you know what a tidy freak I am usually? You should see the state of The Cave right now =P

I've also been incredibly lazy at home the last couple of days - I practically just fall on the couch when I walk in the door so haven't done any of the other stuff I meant to do. I have emails to answer, vids to watch and feedback, stuff to send... so I'm really, really sorry if you're waiting for stuff from me for the last couple of days - my plan is to do it all this evening. To ignore the couch, plant myself in front of the computer, and catch up properly. I do try really hard to stay on top of everything, but I always feel bad when I can't.

I WILL leave here on time and not stay on and work on this frickin timetable all evening.
I WILL reply to the last couple of days worth of emails received.
I WILL watch the vids I have saved and will comment.
I WILL send out the emails I promised to do this weekend.

...

Eep.

This is gonna be a long day.
