I saw the surgeon last week and yeah, I will need another operation. No big surprise there. I was hit by a car as a kid and broke a lot of bones, but my nose is the one they keep screwing up when trying to fix it. They've done a few operations since and manage to mess it up more and more each time, so this operation will be trying to sort out the problems from the original accident, as well as trying to repair mistakes from previous surgery. I should have a date within the next four months and I hope it's sooner rather than later as I just want it over and done with now. That's the really short version. And the reason it's all freaked me out a bit is how every time they've operated before they've screwed it up. So part of me hoped they'd say they didn't need to operate again, but that was never going to happen. Still, the surgeon seemed really nice, he's actually had nasal surgery himself which I think is a bonus, and he made me feel really at ease. Plus I pointed out how many times this has been messed up before, so I think he knows I won't be too happy if it happens again. Yeah, I can be naively optimistic at times :)
