1) boxofmagic: Tomorrow is the launch date for all the fics on boxofmagic and I was already ridiculously excited before I read some of the previews that have been posted over the last week. Is it Wednesday yet?

2) torchwood: The last week or so I've been rewatching Torchwood series 1 & 2 and really enjoying it as it's ages since I last saw those episodes. Now up to about episode 8 (I think) of series 2, won't be rewatching series 3 and I will really miss my cracky show. It's amazing actually how much I'd forgotten and it's been great remembering all Ianto's one-liners =)

3) harry potter: I spent a ridiculous amount of time yesterday reading through the older posts of dracolicious/boywholives so I could better understand the recaps of coffeejunkii. And ridiculous amount of time = hours and hours. I'll never catch up on all those posts but I did focus on reading from Valentine's Day through to May of this year, and will probably continue on from there when I have the time. Addictive =)

4) new merlin comm: The lovely mrs_leary has launched a new Merlin comm: merlinlocations! The aim of this community is to share information about and images of the locations used by the BBC television show Merlin, to help you visit them either virtually or actually! All are welcome to join the community, and post with their own knowledge or experience of the locations. Go check it out =)

I really wouldn't know where to start with the questions, I think I just have to try and read as many of those back posts as I can if I'm going to even try to follow your recaps or their current posts.

I think I got as far as Bean's birth, because do you remember me asking you a few weeks ago where I should start, and I ended up going to the very beginning and reading a few of them? Anyway yeah, think I did read that one but might have skimmed it. Too much to remember right now =)

yeah, that's a good idea. the questions will probably pop up when there are references to earlier events that you aren't familiar with.

bean's birth was such a momentous event--i remember being glued to my laptop for like three days, waiting for updates.

There was some comment I read yesterday but I don't remember where (part of your recap I think) where reference was made to Emma's birth and Harry asking Draco what he might have missed out on and Draco being evasive - something like that anyway, and I didn't really understand.

Also - and I'm sure I'll live to regret this - but are there any really, really good Harry/Draco fics you'd recommend? I did browse a few of your tags for some of the recs there. I don't want to get as heavily involved in reading Harry/Draco as I am with Merlin, but if they're really, really good then I'd be interested in taking a look.

hmm, i don't remember the exact comment, but there are a few things that are important to know regarding the time when emma was little. first of all, harry and draco were in their last year at hogwarts when draco was pregnant with emma. they lived in a little turret of their own, and the last few weeks of the pregnancy, draco stayed there mostly because it was difficult for him to walk up and down all those stairs. then, during a heavy snowstorm, the roof caved in and draco went into labor. it was all kinds of dramatic. then a year or two later, harry did a four-week auror training course for which he was away from home. that was pretty hard on their relationship as well.

haha, there are TONS. it would help me to know what kinds of genres you like. i have of course also written my fair share of h/d fics :D

oh, my recaps don't go all the way back to the beginning of the rpg! i only found it a year or so after they started. here is the post when draco goes into labor, and here is a follow-up post about emma's birth. also, here is one of the early posts about harry going off to auror training. he was gone for the following month, so poke around the boys' journals for more posts on this during december '05 :)

also, for the h/d fic, do you prefer shorter or longer fic? most of my favorite h/d fics are over 20k, i'd say. but i can also rec something shorter if you'd prefer that.

I do definitely prefer longer fics as you can get more into them then - then again, I suppose until I know what I like in terms of Harry/Draco stories then some shorter ones would be good too?

Yup, seriously. I was out of town for about a month and a half and never had the chance to get online to read anything. Hanging out in PJs can is better "medicine" than paracetamol :) That and chicken soup with rice (which, consequently, was one of my favorite books when I was a kid! About TW...When I heard they are going to do a season 4, I was about as excited as going to the dentist o.0 It really sucks because I used to love that show so much. But that's a great idea to watch the first 2 seasons and bask in the former glory :)

I'm going to join the merlinlocations comm. It sounds like a great idea! And I love mrs_leary. She's one of my favorite authors in the fandom! Well, I guess the rps fandom. I can't remember reading any Merlin fics by her. She's lovely.

Yeah, it sucks to no longer love Torchwood and I won't be watching the 4th series, but it's been good fun rewatching 1 & 2, for sure =)
