It's a year today since I quit smoking  :)

*pats self on back*

I have an appointment today for a haircut with a guy called Greg who is so damn cool.  He's just a few years older than me and we both grew up in the same small town so have a lot of stories and places in common to talk about.  Last time I was there one of the girl apprentices was moaning about how there's nothing to do there (true) and how all the old people block anything the young people want to do (also true) and we were suggesting wild things she could do and Greg was moaning too comparing our hometown to the little town on Footloose, because you honestly aren't allowed to do anything there, and although I'm fairly sure I didn't dance round my car in an abandoned warehouse at any time during my youth, it's a fair enough comparison  ;)

Congratulations. That is great. I have never experienced that addiction first hand, due to my asthma, but my dad quit after 2 packs a day for who knows long. I know it was very difficult. One year is such a great milestone.
