........ in case any of you were wondering and actually wanted to know, I just wanted to make it clear that I am FEMALE!!  Someone on my flist was apparently unsure and thought it wasn't obvious ~ not quite sure how I feel about the fact that it wasn't obvious so I'm clarifying now!

OK, I've had the same problem. Apparently I come across as quite an asexual being cos people tend not to realise that I'm a bloke. I mean, hello? I talk so much about how hot MM and Cameron from House are. Like, duh! Isn't it obvious?

This so totally makes me LMAO. In the beginning, I had assigned 'the muppet' a female gender identity. Further reading of your prose, reinforced my original assignment. I just 'heard' a female voice in my head. :D

In this nebulous, faceless world that is the internet, I thought long and hard about the name I selected for myself - hence adding the 'ms.' to mine...to give me a little more physical identity. I want to be loved for more than just my brilliant mind. *pokes at self*

Holy Hannah...I never gave it a thought before now! I've made arrangements to visit you assuming you were female...then again, if you weren't and we hit it off...nah...I wouldn't want to move to the UK...well...maybe I would...oiy...this is all so complicated now.

You know me and dictionaries...I looked up "muppet" and got a UK definition which definitely doesn't seem to fit you and it was genderless, so no help there.

I've always assumed you were female, so if you're not, don't tell me, OK? Just keep fibbing and we'll sort it all out when I get there! ;)

Seriously, it gets very confusing because I see just as many posts from gay guys admiring men as I do women gushing over the hunky dudes. So, I'm not surprised there's confusion. Plus, most of us use icons that don't hint at our gender or are in direct opposition to it (i.e., I use RDA, you use Rodney & a host of others from various fandoms).

As for the "angst about our periods" thing...won't work for me because I've been spayed (which ought to tell everyone my gender)! Note: I said SPAYED - not castrated - go use a dictionary if you're still confused because those entries are definitely gender-specific!!!
