Adobe Premiere can't import AVI files but...it can import AVS files. Basically you can do all your clipping for a music video in a notepad file, save it as AVS import that into Adobe Premiere and then add your effects and move your clips around. Avsynth basically tricks the program into thinking it's uploading something else..at least that's how I understand it. I'm interested in going towards Premiere because it has a lot of features I like...but I'm still kind of waffling at the moment. Media Studio Pro also has wav form view and you can store libraries....it's just when you split by scene an episode into a library the program takes FOREVER to load...and it doesn't have a storyboard view, which I know sounds like a weird thing to want in a video editor but the timeline view squishes everything together and it's hard to see what clip you put in there.
