1) reading: I've caught up on a lot of fanfic reading lately, particularly in that week and a half that I was off work, to the point where I now have nothing bookmarked in my 'to read' folder. This is not good.

2) paper legends: All seems to be going okay and next week the serious business of writer/artist matching begins with the big check-in and the submission of summaries. So a busy few weeks ahead for me culminating in (I hope!) lots of writers and artist matched with each other, and a day off from work for me (May 21st) to sleep after what will be a hectic weekend of matching (May 19th-20th).

3) timetable of doom: I'm having to do regular ToD's as so many people leaving lately. I'm currently on my third this year already, and I have another to write towards the end of May that'll mean big changes. So basically the first two weeks of May will be dominated by Paper Legends for me, and the last two weeks full of ToD work and me going slowly but surely crazy. Excellent.

4) ankle: Saw my GP this week and she says my ankle is badly sprained (oh really?) and that it may take a few weeks for all the pain/swelling to go away. It's annoying, and some days it hurts more than others, so am just trying to practice patience now.

5) movies: Went with Peter to see Battleship last Saturday and I LOVED IT! It's ridiculous and cheesy and pretty unbelievable, yes. But I went in expecting something highly improbable but great fun, and I wanted to see something highly improbable but great fun, and that's exactly what I got! Fantastically cheesy dialogue, unlikely scenarios, slow-mo sequences to imply heroism = wonderful afternoon at the movies! Here is what

OH MY FUCKING GOD!

I saw this last night! YOU MUST GO AND SEE IT!!! It is movie perfection! Joss Whedon needs to screenwrite and direct all my favourite movies!!!! :D

I must admit I'm pretty excited about seeing it, and have got even more excited thanks to Peter's enthusiasm!

Guess who's randomly going to see it again tonight... THIS GIRL!! :D

Oh I loved Battleship too! Completely surprised me. I also love Avengers (and Thor, Ironman, Captain America movies). I'm a sucker for cheesy adventure.

Hope your ankle heals quickly. That would be a pain. (In both senses of the word)

OK, I believe you that you said you loved it, but don't push your luck when you say it was cheesy. If I hear another person call it cheesy, I shall be very FURIOUS. :(

Bugger about the ToDs - but good luck with all the Paper Legends stuff, hope you find some more things to read soon...empty "to read" folder is - *yikes* - not good at all!

Take pain killers for that ankle and rest it when you can.

Is Peter planning on sitting next to you or is he going to make Matt sit between you? Hehe, cheesy films need running commentaries to be really enjoyable, especially as they now frown you for hurling popcorn at the screen! Have a good time - ALL of you!

Peter says I'm not allowed to speak at all during the movie tomorrow. He's right though; I honestly hate talking in films and usually I don't do it, but I was so excited about Battleship and enjoying it so much that I couldn't help myself!

Oooh, so happy to hear that Battleship was good! I can't wait to see it (Liam Neeson!), but sadly, we don't get it for another month, I think. Let us know how Avengers is, too -- can't wait for that next weekend!

Well, I thoroughly enjoyed it, but you've got to go in with no expectations of it being a classic or anything!

I suppose the toughest part of PL - in terms of time-wise - is the artist matching weekend, as I have to spend almost the whole time glued to the computer with very little sleep. Still, I'll sleep on the Monday as that's what I've taken annual leave from work for =)

Right, now I'm officially too tired to even read my f-list - I just spent a full minute wondering when you started writing Timetables of Doom for artists and writers before I realized the second point was about paperlegends, not work, and that the ToD was in the third point, not the second...

Do you have any regular re-reads you could fall back for a while? I often read, say, all Dresden Files when I run out of fics (mostly because I never get around to bookmarking them and as such I lose a lot of good recs if I can't read them immediately), and while I'm doing that I usually get enough new recs to keep me going for a long while again :) Or I start going through some Big Bang archive ^.^

Oh, I envy you - not going to see Avengers this weekend yet, even if it's in the cinema starting from today, I believe. I really want to see it, but I think it's best to give this weekend for resting. Let the biggest crowd pass as well, hopefully... I hope you'll have great time watching it with Peter, though :)

I'm actually working my way through some of my older saved stories now - I print off everything I save in my Delicious bookmarks so I can re-read them whenever and wherever I want, and that comes in very handy =)

My ankle is definitely seeming better every day, I just want full movement back in it again; living on the third floor and struggling a little with stairs is annoying!

Ack! Your sprained ankle, is that from when you tripped inside your house? That seems like ages ago - did you just now get it checked out? OUCH. I hope you can stay off it as much as possible, as impossible as I know that is where you live. *cuddles lots*

My ankle is from when I fell down the stairs 2 weeks ago - not all those stairs leading up to my flat, just those three little stairs inside my flat that lead to the bedrooms. Pretty stupid, huh? Stairs are the worst thing though, still can't do them properly, but I'm sure it'll be fine eventually.

Yep, May is going to be an interesting month, for sure!
