1) air festival: It's the Bournemouth Air Festival this weekend (18th-21st) and those of you who've been around a while will know how stupidly excited I get about this and how much I look forward to it! I'm off work from this Thursday until next Tuesday and I'm just really hoping the weather stays fine after the washout it was last year. And I'm hoping I don't get stung again too.
2) timetable of doom: Yes, it was only about 5 minutes ago that I finished working on the summer timetable, but the September timetable is due in about 3 weeks and I've not even started it yet. I've not very much time to do it either, so as of next week I'm going to have to start putting in much longer hours than usual just to get it done. I honestly have no enthusiasm for it at all this time round, but I'm hoping that's just because I'm kind of wiped out right now what with everything that's been going on, and that the few days off I'm about to have for the air show will re-inspire me. Or something.
3) paper legends: Posting of all the wonderful stories and amazing artwork over at

4) photos: Just a few random photos to share:
Boscombe beach (aka my beach) a week or so ago. I love the colour of the water in this one:
An old tree root out at Bolderwood where I took a group walking last week:
Joshua (nephew) sat on a lion down at Boscombe Pier last weekend. There's this thing called Pride in Bournemouth going on for a few weeks, which basically means there's these lions all over the place round here, all of them differently decorated and all of them kind of cool:
Hope you're all doing okay ♥

I love your photos... The sea really was such a beautiful colour that day, and I love all the manmade colour around your lovely beach, too... including the lion! That is one awesome tree root, too. :-D
I trust that all is going well for you with paperlegends. It's certainly something to be very very proud of. ♦

Still a few hiccups with PL but mostly okay so far =)

For some reason I thought the postings had already finished at Paper Legends (I guess I was so eager to get to the stories I didn't read the introductions too carefully), it's great to know there will be even more :) I've already read so many brilliant fics, even if I've limited myself to the AUs since Finnish airing is so much behind.
Lovely photos! The sea makes the first one look sort of exotic :) I don't know if that is a usual colour around there, but the sea around here doesn't usually look like that. It's beautiful :) And I very much like twisted roots and branches, I don't know how that rootstock seems to be so clean! I guess it's been moved there and the earth has fallen away or something...
Hmm, lions all over the place. I wonder if it's the same thing that has different colours of seals all over the city near us, all decorated by a different artist. There was a website about it too, but I forgot where. I think they were going to auction the seals away at some point.

There's postings at Paper Legends every day throughout August, so lots more good things to come yet! I'll obviously do a masterpost once they are all done, so hopefully that too will remind people to check them out =)
The sea varies in colour quite a lot here, but I particularly liked the colour that day =)
I don't know much more about the lions than the link I posted, but they are pretty and they do brighten up the place =)

Awesome :) Seems like I won't be running out of reading material for a while! Reading time, now... Well, I was already ignoring my master's paper project (the inspiration to do it has totally vanished), and it's been months since I last read any fics at all, so I declare myself entitled to them for a while at least :) Can't do overlong work days without some fun to balance...

I've not read as many as I'd have liked so far due to work being ridiculously busy, but I'll catch up as best I can; what I have read so far though has been absolutely fantastic =)

And good luck with those timetable :S

The pics are awesome though! I can't wait until the day I get to go with you to your beach. (It WILL happen one day... if I keep saying it, that makes it true, right?) Although, the suffers are all whimps for wearing wetsuits! Hypothermia is overrated!
Your nephew is adorable! I always think those types of art installations (one common element, but all done by different artists/on different themes) are really cool.

He is a cutie, and yes, those lions are pretty cool, so it's a shame they're only going to be around for a short while.

Lovely pictures, and the Air Festival looks awesome. I would get excited about it, too.
I hope the Timetable of Doom goes smoothly.

Lovely pictures as always! One year we had cows all over Chicago; it was really fun :)

Cows huh? That sounds like fun!

Have a great time at the air show - sounds like a great place to go.
TToD time AGAIN? Wow, where did the year go?
*hugs*

I usually do a ToD at the beginning of summer (July) and then another in September for the rest of the year, so it's really close between these two. Ugh.
*hugs lots*

I know you love the air festival. Hope you're enjoying yourself :)
Can't believe it's already time for the timetable again. It comes back around so fast. Good luck, dear ♥
I'll definitely be checking out

2) Schedules are made of evil. I wish you good luck and speediness.
3) I need to pop by and see what goodies have been posted! I am behind on everything Merlin.
4) Your beach is so pretty! The only beach near me is Galveston, where the water is a nasty shade of brown and the sand is a billion degrees and covered in seaweed. Not pleasant.
I love things like that lion! We had the Cow Parade here in Houston a number of years ago, and there are currently a bunch of decorated horses closer to my side of town.
Oddly, when I was in Bath last October, they had decorated lions on display, too. They were for their sister city in China. I took pictures of all the ones we came across, but I'm sure it was only a small fraction. This one was my favorite of the group.
