1) camera: I mentioned a couple of weeks ago how I'd managed to find a second-hand version of my old camera on eBay and was excited that I'd managed to win it; it arrived on Saturday and it's rubbish. It's in a much worse condition than described, the lens doesn't work at all, the battery doesn't work at all, it seems to be a slightly different version than my old one and all the settings are in another language so I've no idea what I'm doing. I managed to get it to work once before I gave up in frustration. I've contacted the eBay seller but not heard back yet, and having spent so long looking for that replacement I'm pretty damn gutted.

2) work: Still part-time at work this week and the meeting last week with the management team that I mentioned was truly awful, but I have the support of my GP and my friends so am making the best of it. Should be back there full-time from next week, providing my GP okays it, but in the meantime am distracting myself with paperlegends stuff and watching re-runs of The West Wing which never fails to make me happy.

3) paper legends: Sign-ups for writers over at paperlegends closes today so tomorrow I'll be posting the full list of participating writers. Exciting and scary!

4) story: Remember I was asking if anyone could link me to a story I'd seen where Arthur and Merlin had kids at the same school and had noticed each other but each had assumed the other wasn't gay so hadn't made a move yet? I finally found out why I couldn't find it. It's because it hasn't been written yet; it's one of the sign-ups for paperlegends. At least I know I wasn't going crazy =)

3) h5o recs: I need some good H5O recs, specifically stories of Steve and Danny getting together as opposed to established relationships; can anyone help me out there?

It's so frustrating and disappointing, but I think it's time to give up before I waste any more money I can't afford to lose. Such a shame as I really do miss having a camera.

I am so sorry about your camera. :( new ones seem to be crap... I bought myself an analogue one, but the film developing does cost quite a lot money too... what language is the camera? if it's german,I might be able to help out...

The new ones I'd looked at were crap compared to my old one, which is why I went on eBay looking for a second-hand one. I think it's Spanish actually. Am going to take it to work tomorrow as there's a guy there who can fix pretty mcuh anything, so am going to see if he can at least get it working for me.

I'm hoping a guy at work tomorrow can take a look at the camera and sort it out for me. I'll stil not be able to read the Spanish settings but at least if it works I'll have a rough idea what I'm doing =)

Work is horrible x 1000 but I'm trying to work through it, with help.

That's pretty shitty thing with your camera. I know I'm being completely naive, but I can never understand why people cheat like that. I mean, I get that they are assholes, but just - why?
I really hope you'll get this solved. If the seller don't reply, try complaining to eBay. I never had to use it, but eBay has some sort of buyer protection system.

As for the H5O recs - check bluespirit_star journal. She posted quite a lot of them in recent months. I'm sure you'll find something interesting :)

Are you off work because of your surgery, or for another reason? (Well, not off, but there less.) I'm sorry; I feel terrible. I've been an awful friend and barely been online in the last couple of months, so I feel so out of the loop. *hugs*
