I promised some of you I'd try to post more, so here, have some whining about how I'm still sick and some pictures of trees. And other things:
1) sick: Yes, still. Saw my GP on Wednesday and she says I have a viral infection. Mostly this is now just confined to my chest, so lots of coughing and rattling. She also signed me off for the rest of the week due to the noise distortion problems I'm having with my right ear (my workplace is a loud place to be) and the lack of sleep it's been causing. Had an appointment with the nurse yesterday to have my ear syringed, but it didn't work, so have to go back and try again next Thursday. Joy. So yeah, still can't hear out of that ear and my chest is still rattling like a freight train. Deb (
deans_babe) came round last night and cooked me dinner, which was lovely =)
2) flist: How did you get here? Did I friend you, did we meet up somewhere else? Just curious...
3) reading: Have now read 30/50 of the
paperlegends Big Bang stories! Really must focus on reading more this weekend, and not keep going back to re-read other favourites on my Delicious bookmarks. Like I did yesterday. Right. Am opening another BB story right now...
4) forest: Deb and I took a group of service users out rambling Tuesday afternoon to Rhinefield, on one of the Tall Trees walks, so here's some random photos for you:
{ random treetops }

{ small pretty tree }

{ taken using colour accent - yellow emphasis }

{ tree behind a tree }

{ taken using colour accent - yellow emphasis }

{ another trail on the tall trees walk }

{ more small pretty trees }

{ one of the trees in the grounds where I work }

Love to you all ♥

2) If I recall correctly, we met through the SG-1 fandom. You were very helpful in getting me caught up with the show when I became a fan late into the run, and I think I might have uploaded some stuff for you, but that was forever ago.
3) The trees are beautiful. You are making me want to go and take pictures while we still have some leaves on the trees. I have that color accent feature on my camera, but I have never thought to use it like that. I mostly just play with it and make pictures where the only colors accented are the cats. I am kind of a single subject photographer. :)

It's been such a long time with you and I that I think you're probably right, must've been through SG1 - so glad you're still here ♥
I only started to use the colour accent feature because my camera broke, and for a while it was the only setting where you could actually use the viewer on the camera and take pictures! I even though it was some sort of B&W setting and only found out by accident how to change the actuall colour accent!
*hugs muchly*

It has been a long time. I started watching SG-1 around season 8, and I have had my journal since 2005, so I probably have been talking to you just about that whole time. I love hearing your stories and seeing your pictures. And you always have a nice word when I do finally make a post.
I thought the color accent setting was some sort of B&W as well, except that my sage green papasan was still sage green. I just couldn't figure out how to change the color. I had to read the manual for that, and that hurt my pride. I usually never have to read manuals, but this new camera is very complex. I have had text books shorter than this manual. It is supposed to be nice tomorrow. I think I will take your example and do some leaf peeping.
Have a good weekend.

I've had my journal too since 2005 and I'm pretty sure you've been here the whole time =)
I'm still not completely sure how to change the colour - I only have a vague idea now and each time I appear to do it by accident! Looking forward to seeing your photos if you manage to take some =)
Have a lovely weekend ♥

I just grabbed my camera to see if I remembered how to change the color. It was set to khaki. Blech. Here's how mine works: If you have a Canon, go to color accent and hit the DISP button. Aim at the color you want to accent, hit the left arrow until the little colored square is the color you want, then hit the function set button. At least all that worked after hitting just about every button on my camera. :) I will be sure to post some pics if they come out half decent.

Oh that's handy - it sounds very similar to what I was trying to change my colour accent setting, so I'll give it a go on mine and see if it's the same =)
