1) computer: The short version: sent the graphics card back, they tested it and say it's not faulty. Brian then takes everything apart again and now says they may be right and I actually have a faulty memory stick. He'll phone them today and the whole returning parts saga begins again. Starting to wonder if I'll ever actually get this computer back.

2) timetable: For those of you that are new here, I work at a Day Service for adults with learning disabilities. As well as working directly with the clients, I'm also responsible for drawing up the main timetable and running the day-to-day cover. Usually we have one main timetable which runs from September to July, then a summer timetable from July to September. It's that time again where I now have to start drawing up the summer timetable. This involves consultation with all the clients here as well as the staff, then trying to put together a timetable that meets everyones needs and requests, so yeah, bloody hard work. I generally have a bit of a meltdown whilst doing it, so be warned. This new edition I'm working will be even harder than usual as we're making a lot of changes to the structure and schedule of our day, all of which I need to try and incorporate. We're then probably switching to a 3-monthly timetable, which means me drawing up a whole new timetable 4 times a year instead of twice. Please bear with me whilst I slowly lose my mind. Between this and paperlegends I'm going to be a busy girl!

3) merlin fics: Posting over at reel_merlin starts on June 7th! EXCITED! Lots of lovely long fics to tide me over (maybe!) until the paperlegends stories are posted!

1) Poor you! I don't know what I would do without a computer.. I've been without one for 2 weeks tops and yah.... that wasn't the most sane I've been. Good luck with it.. hopefully it'll be fixed soon.

3) On a slightly related matter that is merlin.. Channel 10 (the channel that plays merlin) is having a behind the scenes special (with questions taken from the merlin discussion board!) tomorrow! Yay.. nearly as exciting as the posting of more merlin fics!

STRESSFUL LIKE YOU WOULDN'T BELIEVE.

Usually I'm only working on new ones twice a year (for the month of June and the month of August) but with 4 new ones a year it'll be pretty much a perpetual state of stress. I generally have at least one meltdown each time I wrote one, so be warned.

Urrggghh!!! Computers. I've had trouble myself recently. Had trouble with my screen, but while they were looking at that they discovered that the graphics card had overheated too....so my laptop was going to and fro. Finally fixed, but such a lot of trouble. Hope you get yours sorted soon :P

Oh no, I had hoped the problem was solved with the one sending back but guess not :( My darling once had to send back his new motherboard twice before he got a functioning one (and a different model from the first two as well because the first product clearly wasn't reliable) and it was an awful hassle. I hope sending back the memory stick really does the trick!
