3.
1) computer: It hasn't even been a week and already my new computer is not working. I've no idea what's wrong with it and I've done so well so far in not getting ridiculously stressed out and upset about losing my original computer, losing everything on it, and spending hundreds of pound (via my ridiculously painful overdraft) on getting a new one built. So I'm trying not to get too worried too soon over this, either. Brian (who built it) is coming over after work this evening to take a look so he can see what it's doing and - hopefully - sorting it out. I really don't know what else to say about this at the moment, and I'm basically just trying to keep the panic at bay.
2) gym: I used to go to the gym local to my work, when I could afford it, and I loved it. Would go after work 3-4 times a week and felt really good for it, and have really missed being able to go. However, I think I may have found a new gym close to my flat that I might be able to afford. They're called FitSpace gyms and it looks really promising. It would help me get back in shape and also (and perhaps more importantly) would be a step towards overcoming my agrophobe issues, which have definitely worsened as of late. Will talk to Deb today and see if she's willing to join up with me.
3) peter: Peter, my youngest brother, has finally found himself a voluntary job at his local Oxfam shop. This is HUGE. Peter has autism and we've been trying for literally months and months to find him some work, paid or otherwise, and repeatedly we've got nowhere at all, despite all our best efforts. Those of you who know about Peter will appreciate what a huge deal this is, and I'm so very proud of him for finally finding something, as I know how much it will mean to him too.
Hope you're all doing okay ♥

I also had to cut my pilates classes some time ago, but I didn't manage to find anything cheaper nearby. And exercising at home is just not the same, not to mention I always find excuses not to do it...

Am also sure that exercising is a good way to calm down - yeah, I know that sounds weird, but I swear it works, probably all that deep breathing or something...
YAY! for Peter! Small steps are sometimes the biggest and hopefully it'll be a starting point you can both build on.

Having a partner for gym-going is an excellent idea. The support makes a huge difference.
Congrats to your brother! <3

Also, big cheers for your brother! I'm glad that he was able to find an employer kind enough to give him a chance. I really hope he likes it there, and that it may lead to a paid position. Give him congratulations for me! :)
*hugs*
Sorry I've been "off the planet" for a while... but I'm home from college now, and should (theoretically) be here more :) *more hugs*

2) I hate exercising, but I am trying to be better about doing it. I automatically have a gym membership at the wellness center attached to the college I work at, but I'd rather walk outside. And I do much much better if I have a buddy to push me along, because otherwise I'll just sit on my bum and make excuses. I hope this new gym works out for you!
3) Congrats to Peter! Even a few hours a week is better than nothing. And who knows? Maybe he'll be so great at it, that they'll hire him on. It will at least give him good experience for any future job.
*hugs*

I used to have a gym attached to the apartment I lived in in Chicago and enjoyed going when I wasn't making excuses not to go :) Now, I'm just waiting for the weather to be nice again so I can walk outside on my day off. Along the pavement, where bears are unlikely.
Fingers crossed for your comp to get fixed soon! Ugh.

(2) I'm pretty strapped but I need to keep my gym membership for the healthy reasons but also I think it keeps me a little bit sane. I hope teh FitSpace Gym works out for you.
(3) That's great news. I didn't know your brother had autism, but I am really glad to hear that he has found a job and I hope it is a success for him.
