A proper-ish update... finally!

Happy New Year all!

1. Well I've been back at work about half an hour now and have spent most of that sat outside with Karen watching the snow fall *lol* which hasn't really a chance of settling but it's still very pretty =) Part of me wants it to settle as that'd be so cool, but the sensible part of me knows I'm terrified of driving in the snow so let's hope it doesn't, eh?

2. I like Eleven. I've never seen him in anything before but from the interview with him on Doctor Who Confidential on Saturday I like the look and sound of him - he's sort of quirky and strange looking and he sounds interesting - I'm looking forward to seeing how this works. And I realise I could get pelted for even thinking this, let alone saying it judging by a lot of the fandom reaction so far.

3. I rewatched Lost in Austen last week (still bloody wonderful) and Being Human this weekend. I probably shouldn't have rewatched Being Human as it's bound to make me even more meh about the recasting for the series but *sighs* I wanted some original Mitchell and George dammit, and it was so worth seeing it again =)

4. I'm still obsessed with iconning Merlin - had you noticed? I am, however, trying to at least make sure I do include other icons with each post. I just find Merlin so easy to icon, and enjoy it too damn much =)

5. Not sure whether I'm glad to be back at work or not. On the one hand yes, it's nice to get back into a bit of a routine and all that blah, but then again...

6. I'm using this icon as that's how I feel today =)

I agree with you about looking forward to seeing how he works out as the Doctor. I'm really surprised at some of the reaction he's getting. I like his quirky look and his mannerisms. I'm really hoping for a 'fun' more light hearted Doctor for 11.

Aw, well I'm glad at least someone agrees =) He looks interesting and they seemed pretty sure of their choice, even going as far as saying that they still kept looking even after they'd made their minds up, just to be sure.

Well, you know fandom, they like to make big deals of things. I don't know, looking at the guy didn't terribly impress me, but I haven't watched the whole interview yet. The thing is, I think you have to at least give the guy a shot before you dismiss him completely. Still, Tenants shoes will be hard ones to fill.

I understand that they had their hopes set on certain other people, but some of the reaction has been a bit OTT - but that's fandom for you! I'm looking forward to a change - and just from the interview he seems interesting.

I sent my friend, raxhel a link to the fandom_wank entry about the new Doctor and she just rolled her eyes and said "We don't have to deal with him until 2010, it's too early to get all worked up about him!"

It kind of makes me glad that I'm not really in the fandom, since I'm pretty sure I'd have to kill some people if they plan on complaining about it for the next year :P

1. It started to snow (again) this morning here as well and everything's already covered in white... Looks pretty ♥ but on the other hand, I don't like it at all, because I go everywhere by bike...

2. I agree :D He seemed lovely on Doctor Who Confidential. And he's got great hair.
Dunno, I like him, no matter what everyone else is saying. I'm still sad to see David go, cause he's like the perfect Doctor for me and no one will be able to replace that, but Matt seems like a worthy successor *lol*

3. They're recasting Being Human? Didn't know that.... Meh.

Well it snowed pitifully here for about an hour and now there's not a trace of it left! Always the same here...

I think he looked lovely too, certainly has me interested to see how he'll play it.

I KNOW! I loved the other characters, dammit, and the only one who's still the same is George - and Russell Tovey is pretty damn lovely so at least that's something I suppose and I'm glad about that =)

But yeah, they're changing quite a bit of it apparently...

I'll give it a try but I so loved the actual pilot that I'm not sure if I'll actually enjoy this new series - but hey, I'll certainly give it a try =)

Aw, real snow pictures!

It really does sound like they're changing a lot, doesn't it? Which frankly sucks as the pilot was so damn good =/ Still - who knows - might be even better so i'll wait and see, but I'll definitely miss the old Mitchell =)

Well my late reply isn't just down to me being a bit of a lazy bum this time, honest! Plus any few minutes of free time I've had have been stolen by this overwhelming need to keep making Merlin icons! lols. And yes *pokes* I even try now to include other stuff in with the Merlin icons so there's a teeny-tiny bit of variety for any non-Merlin lovers out there. Though who there people are that don't love merlin I do not know! =)

We have snow also, for several days already, and today it is freezing cold also. And it`s surposed to get even colder during the week.

I don`t watch Dr. Who, but I have read several comments, and that made me happy I`m not inot this fandom also, would be too much to handle right now, duh.

And I don`t watch Merlin also, but you`re not the only one getting obsessed with it, so maybe I should give it a try... *g*

I never stopped working during christmas time, so I don`t know if you shold be happy to be back at work or not, nothing that can be changed about the fact anyway, huh?

Our snow is just a pathetic attempt really, never ever snows here for long, or settles. Maybe it's being so close to the sea, I don't know. Still, it was pretty whilst it lasted =)

Ah, Merlin is definitely my happy place right now - I'd definitely recommend it! It's on The List if you ever feel like giving it a try =)

Being Human is sitting on my hard drive for like forever. I guess I should finally watch it... =)

Looks like it's "proper" winter everywhere now. We have serious snow since Friday, not ot mention the temperature: -12 degrees today and they say it's going to be even colder tomorrow.

Ah Being Human was just great, I'm so sure you'd enjoy it - our tastes are so similar =) But I'm not sure what the actual series will be like though what with the recasting and the storyline changes, etc. If you ever feel like checking out the pilot though - and it's well worth watching - I'd definitely recommend it =)

Our pitiful attempt at snow lasted maybe an hour and didn't even settle!

2. I think it's lolarious that fandom has erupted like this. I'm not in the DW fandom at ALL and even I've heard about all the wank. It's just ridiculous. It's not even happening until 2010! *hands*
