As I've read, job-hunting is a job in itself. One just has to take it calmly and methodically and it looks you are doing just that.
Also, it's a good think to always ask friends, casual acquaintances, etc. if they know of any job openings. Story: I attended a small cocktail party one time and casually made a comment that if anyone knew a company that was looking for a (said tongue-in-cheek) smart, outgoing, hard-working person with a great telephone voice...that I was looking for a job. Well, that comment wound up leading to a job interview and position that I kept for several years. I only lost that job because the person I was working for retired. So you never know!
