{ air show and music and stuff. }
1) air show: Festival finally kicked off yesterday and the weather was glorious; so much so that my face is sunburnt even though I wore a big hat! Saw a full schedule of flying then went into Bournemouth in the evening for the night-time activities, including seeing the dusk displays (amazing) and T-Rextasy on the Corona stage by the Pier. I AM SO TIRED TODAY! It's kind of cloudy today so I'm not sure what will happen with the flying schedule this afternoon, but Peter is still wanting to go down early as one of his favourite parts of the festival is the Navy boys storming the beach with their landing crafts. I don't mind that too much either =)
If any of you have a few minutes and want to see what's going on, here's a live stream of festival events throughout the day, though bear in mind it's quite cloudy today so I'm not sure how much flying will happen, though tomorrow is supposed to be really good weather again =)
2) camera: My camera died yesterday, which makes me very sad. Remember how I'd got this one off ebay really cheap to replace the old one which kept getting a lens error? Same thing on this one. Gutted.

Hope you're all doing okay and having a lovely weekend ♥

Mike Tompkins! I spent a whole day you-tubing him! He made it onto Ellen and some breakfast show where he made the breakfast host make one!
Oh and if you're on YuTube, look up Sam Tsuii/Kurt Hugo Scheinder, they're excellent and they recently covered the same Adele song!

Such a pity about the camera. I remember you getting that one only recently. :(

But YAY! for that link! I watched a bit of the landings and nearly all the Red Arrows while doing stuff today - what a beautiful setting. Have never been to an air show, too much noise for dog, so it was lovely to see it "live" as it were and actually kind of watch it along with you and Peter - hope you both had a wonderful day.
**hugs**

That is the best cover of the song I've seen. Thanks for sharing.

But at least the air show has been good so far, yes? That's awesome! I hope the rest of the weekend goes well too! :D
Wow, Mike Tompkins is AMAZING! *is in awe* That's so incredible. I am always blown away by such immense talent. Thank you for sharing! :D

That totally sucks about your camera :(

Tried to check out the live stream for a few minutes, but I guess nothing much was happening just then because it was mainly adverts and some interviews of visitors. Looked like fun, though :)
So sorry to hear about your camera :(

2) Another camera broken? What rotten luck. And such awful timing, too.
3) That song was AMAZING. I have huge amounts of love for that song and am pretty dubious about all covers. But this one was fantastic! I'm both impressed by the technicality of it and amusing by his ridiculous faces.
I think my problem with most of the a cappella covers is the lack of the kick (*coughgleecovercough*). That part is crucial to the song. It drives it forwards and without the kick the song is lacking. Mike Tompkins does not have that problem. :)
