the_muppet | (no subject)

I promised a couple of you a post so here you go:

1) camera: Following the demise of my beloved Canon IXUS 70 camera just before Christmas, I've been browsing on eBay to see if I can find a second-hand one, and yesterday, by some complete and utter fluke, I managed to win one! This one only had 25 minutes left to bid when I found it and I'd bid on two others before this one with no success, so wasn't holding out much hope. What's even better though? I got this one for less that the other two I'd tried to get. Hopefully it'll be here sometime next week and I cannot wait to start taking pictures again. Can't really afford it despite how cheaply I got it, but I've really missed my camera.

2) gym: Am not at work at the moment for a little while so am trying to go to the gym every day, which is a bit hard for several reasons, not least of which is that I've not been in weeks and weeks so my body is now in shock a little. Am only doing about an hour or so each time right now, but at least it's something, and I hope to maintain it if I can when I'm back at work, even if it won't be every day.

3) paper legends: Sign-ups are going exceptionally well for

paperlegends so if you've not already checked it out (and signed up!) then head on over. Fantastic take-ups so far and still another two weeks before the first sign-ups (writer and cheerleaders) close. Currently my happy quiet hiding place ♥

4) cartoon: For those of you who've not seen this yet, this is the FANTASTIC cartoon which

adelagia drew for me to mark the opening of this years

paperlegends sign-ups; you can shower praise on her at her post here. She was my self-appointed cheerleader for last years Big Bang and she kept me sane, which was no small task, and looks like she's going to be as awesome a cheerleader this year as she was last. This isn't the first cartoon she's drawn for me (I keep them all) but I think it's probably my favourite so far:

I am doing good, my muse owns my life and for the first time in years, I am writing fic again... also, for the first time ever, I've produced over 12K words in writing.

Yay for a new camera, and high five for more gym time! Maybe before you know it it'll become a habit you can't break :)

Congratulations on your ebay bid. I haven't been to ebay in ages. I am alright, just incredibly busy with work and I should really get back to that advisory opinion I am writing and which has to be finished till Monday. I am not used to all those tight deadlines :sighs: Also I just had a bout of headache but strangely enough it went away on its own. Thank goodness.

Good to hear things are going relatively well for you! I have much respect for anyone who goes to the gym, especially on a regular basis... I have tried but I could never really bring myself to go more than once in a year!

paperlegends . . . I am so BLOWN OVER by how many people have signed up this year. It's insane and amazing and I'm flailing pretty hard. I remember when this fandom was the size of a postage stamp. *tears up* Look at it now, all grown up.
