Hospital & crack.

1. Had my nose check-up at the hospital yesterday. I'd forgotten how amusingly lolarious my consultant is - he gets so carried away with all the things he could do to fix it and the different operations he'd like to try and seems genuinely interested in getting it right (finally) so I totally trust him and I'm not anxious anymore about the thought of further ops like I used to be - and it does look like there will be more - if he can just make up his mind which op it is he wants to try next! For now though I'm starting a long course of Sterimar spray and nasal steroid cream for the next few months which is kind of what I had to do before the last op and I go back in September to see him again. So despite the fact that I honestly thought I'd go there just to be told that's it and there'd be no more surgery, I'm totally okay with it because it's him and he makes me feel at ease about it all and he genuinely sounds like he's someone who finally, finally wants to get it right =)

2. I've not made any icons or even played around with my screencap folders in days and am getting a bit withdrawn now so hopefully I'll spend some time doing that this evening. Would have sorted out all those screencaps I've made earlier in the week but the last couple of evenings I've just had a date with my couch, a box of paracetamol and re-runs of Veronica Mars because I've got my frickin period and ugh. Just ugh. But enough with the being whiny on the couch malarkey, tonight I intend to try and be just a little productive.

3. I should probably rec more of these fantastic fics I read and bookmark, but for now here's just one that is complete and utter crack (consider that fair warning) and made me laugh like an idiot:

Wherein Colin is Bradley's Baby-Momma by [livejournal.com profile] ifyouweremine | “My super-potent sperm has knocked up Colin’s man-uterus with a demon child or possibly a ginger. Please help!” said Bradley. { R | Bradley/Colin }

If it's not crack you want, all my other bookmarks (so far) are here on Delicous =)

4. I keep chaging my mind about [livejournal.com profile] merlin_sceneit. Part of me thinks it's a great idea and will be so, so useful and then part of me thinks 'oh noes it'll be a complete and utter FAIL'. *sighs*

*hugs all*

Oh I'm glad your consultant puts you at ease and you're happy with the situation :) Das ist gut! ...I was at my Dad's house today. He speaks random German and it rubs off :oB

LOL the sentence from that crack-fic!

At least if you need to have more things done, medically speaking, you're in a good place mentally. That's something, right?

So that teaser line from the fic is hilarious. I can practically hear him saying it if, you know, this situation were possible!

Oh noes! Not more surgeries. :( Poo. Oh, well. I hope all goes well if you have to have them.

Dood. Massive amounts of chocolate consumption have been linked to happy periods. Really. There are studies. ^_^

It's so great you have a good consultant and not one of those utterly depressing ones :) It makes such a huge difference! *hugs*

Your consultant sounds like a really dedicated person. I'd say it's pretty rare these days.

And what's with the 'oh noes it'll be a complete and utter FAIL crap? This comm would be a hit, I'm telling you =)

And good luck with iconing tonight!

*hugs*

It's amazing what a good surgeon can do in terms of changing your mind and putting you at ease. It makes the whole prospect of surgery an the inevitable post surgery recovery (the part I hate the most)seem so much more bearable.

I've been with one of my surgeons for over 10 years now so it doesn't even phase me when I go into have an operation and he doesn't even know what he's going to do until he gets in there. But I've also been to see surgeons who I refuse to have anything to do with after the first consult.

Just hang in there. There is a light at the end of the tunnel I'm sure. The operations will eventually be over.

*giant hugs*
