If someone enjoyed the book, is that really a reason to criticize them? It says absolutely nothing about their reading tastes in general. I watch some pretty stupid movies on a fairly regular basis, should I be penalized for that?

Absolutely. It certainly above and beyond fulfilled the crack quota I wanted, but I do now see it as a book apart from the other three, as it was just so wildly different and off course from them. But honestly, all I wanted was more crack, and I got that, so *shrugs* yeah, for the most part I did enjoy it =)
